Enkarterri Group conmemora su 10º aniversario con una jornada sobre Agua, Energía, Sostenibilidad y competitividad empresarial

La asociación de empresarios reúne a representantes del agua, la energía y la gestión de residuos en su apuesta por la empresa sostenible y socialmente responsable

La iniciativa Desayunos Enkarterri, el foro que reúne a empresarios de la Comarca de Las Encartaciones y representantes institucionales, ha celebrado este viernes su duodécima edición. Bajo el título de ‘Agua, Energía, Sostenibilidad y Competitividad empresarial’, el encuentro ha dado pie a abordar los retos compartidos en torno a la Economía Circular y la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) por parte de tres sectores clave en su desarrollo, como son los del agua, la energía y la gestión de residuos. Asimismo, el evento supone el primero de los actos de conmemoración del décimo aniversario de la asociación empresarial Enkarterri Group.

En esta ocasión, los ponentes invitados a la mesa redonda de los Desayunos Enkarterri han sido el Director General del Consorcio de Aguas Bilbao Bizkaia, Pedro Barreiro; el Director Gerente del Cluster de Energía-Basque Energy Cluster, José Ignacio Hormaeche; y el Director General de Zabalgarbi, Mikel Huizi. La jornada ha contado también con la participación del Presidente de la Mancomunidad de Encartaciones, Martín Pérez Garmendia; de la Presidenta de Enkartur, Ángela Eguía; y del Presidente de Enkarterri Group, Andoni García, encargados de dar la bienvenida al acto. El cierre institucional ha corrido a cargo de Imanol Pradales, Diputado de Infraestructuras y Desarrollo Territorial de Bizkaia.

En la mesa redonda, los participantes han coincido en señalar a la Economía Circular como un instrumento clave para la recuperación económica a nivel mundial y una oportunidad para dejar atrás el clásico sistema lineal consistente en extraer, producir y desechar, apostando por modelos productivos circulares. Para ello, será vital controlar cuestiones como la gestión inteligente del agua, la valorización y reutilización de residuos, la transición energética liderada por las renovables o los incrementos de consumo eléctrico que se prevén en el futuro.

8 nuevas certificaciones en RSE
El último tramo del acto se ha dedicado a la entrega de los sellos de RSE Enkarterri Green a ocho empresas y organizaciones de la comarca recientemente certificadas mediante dicho modelo: Birziplastic, Ecopavimentos Eguskiza, Enkartur, Etxedom, Muebles Edja, Laugar Rebel Beers, Riesgo y Trabajo, y Toldycor.

Esta certificación en RSE es impulsada por Enkarterri Group con el objetivo de promover entre las empresas y organizaciones del entorno un crecimiento económico sostenible, con especial atención a los valores sociales y ambientales. Así, el proyecto facilita a la Comarca de Las Encartaciones emprender los cambios necesarios para adaptarse a las exigencias de la sociedad en materia de desarrollo sostenible. Puesto en marcha en 2017, son ya 50 las organizaciones asociadas que cuentan con el sello, de manera que más de la mitad de la base societaria de Enkarterri Group –cercana al centenar de integrantes– se ha certificado en RSE mediante este modelo.

2011-2021 Anniversary Book
Al finalizar el evento se ha hecho entrega a los asistentes del Anniversary Book 2011-2021 editado por Enkarterri Group. Una publicación conmemorativa en la que, a lo largo de 100 páginas, se recoge su historia y principales hitos asociativos, al tiempo que se ofrece una radiografía económica, empresarial, institucional y social de Enkarterri, sus planes de futuro, así como la opinión de responsables institucionales y de destacadas figuras del mundo empresarial que han querido compartir su visión de la comarca.
